My mother and I are on the phone today and she's telling me about some study about lead in mexican candy:
Mom: I know, I'm being a total adult about this when you were trying to be funny.
Me: No, that's actually interesting. I didn't know mexican candy has high lead volumes.
Mom: I know I'm doing that one thing. I'm something on your something.
Me: Pissing on my Cheerios?
Mom: No, it's the new thing everyone says when you like ruin it for someone. You know, I'm something your something.
Me: Raining on my Parade?
Mom: No, it's the new one, you know all the homeys say it.
Me: Harshin' my Gig?
Mom: No, something on your buzz...
Me: Killing my Buzz?
Mom: Yeah I guess, or something. Sorry that was long and drawn out.
Oh and by the way my mother just informed me that she felt really ripped off by my It's Friday I'm in Love post:
Mom: I was expectin to be hearing about some AMORE and all I heard about was a damn twisted ankle! I want my money back!!
