Some days I LOVE being me. (and I mean that in a purely un-conceded way) I'm traveling again folks. Here in good ol' Salem, Oregon. I really love this town and I always forget that until I get here. I called my friend who goes to Law School here but he's on vacation till August so I decided that I'd go for a little downtown walk tonight. It just felt so.......GOOD. I can't describe it. I love the feeling of being independent (even though I may need or want to lean on others occasionally). I love the feeling of a good walk (even though my feet were kinda hurting from work today). I love the feeling of a familiar place that you love (the bookstore here mentioned in the post linked above). I love eating alone sometimes (when it's peaceful and quiet and I have a window to look out of and DELICIOUS food to eat and wine to drink). I love the feeling of being in a place that you know just enough about to not get lost (but not enough to ever get bored). I also love knowing that when I strike up a conversation with a 17 year old kid in the "drama" section of a bookstore, he's actually taking my "advice" as an older, wiser, experience theatrician and feeling excited for his future in the theatre. I LOVE being me right now. I have been missing the Security Boy a lot lately (he's volunteering at a summer camp right now) but I really am reveling in the fact that I can be with someone and miss them terribly, but it doesn't stop me from really being me, all alone and loving it. I feel great folks and I think I'll go hit the hotel hot tub!

It is not as important that we have "Moments" in our lives; the importance is Realizing and Enjoying them. Congrats!
Wow! Sounds like you're having a great time. Enjoy your time there to its fullests!
I love those moments...you miss the ones you love, but you have to relish the "alone" time as well. Have a great time!
is that like "the boner life" in french?
