I was duped

I believe that today I experienced karma. Not the bad kind, a very mild, mild case of karma. But karma none the less. When I train classes, I talk to my participants all about the "referral process" and teach them how to refer a customer to a new account or a specific service that we offer. Now, this is really easy because almost all of our products and services are free, but in general it's the method of "upselling" as they call it in many businesses. I was a victim of my own tactics this morning. Since I am traveling for work, I eat a LOT more fast food than normal (and probably more than I should EVER). I went to the old Burger King to pick up one of these:

I'm finishing my order and the girl says to me: "Is that everything? or would you like some Cinna-minis on the side?" This seems like a harmless statement, however please take into consideration that I know EXACTLY what she's doing and I am still sitting here eating these as I type:

DIABOLICAL!
